Benefits of a Woodstove
Woodstoves have always been the traditional hearth.  Providing warmth, economy, and natural crackling flames.  Freestanding
Woodstoves in your home need to be on a hearthpad to protect the floor and surrounding area from being damaged by the heat.
They are available on either legs or on a pedestal.  Most come with an ashpan.  Stoves on pedestals generally have a larger ashpans than those on legs.  Woodstoves are also available as a fireplace insert.  A fireplace insert is a woodstove firebox with neither legs nor a pedestal.  The firebox sits inside your existing masonary or zero clearance fireplace, and is encompassed by a surround that seals up the rest of the fireplace opening.  Usually these are purchased with a fan to circulate the air around the room.  The fan usually is fitted on the bottom or the side of the firebox.
A chimney liner is usually needed to vent the smoke up the chimney. This is generally a 6 inch wide stainless steel coil that goes all the way to the top of your chimney and has a cap at the top to keep animals and debris out of the liner and your stove.

Woodstoves are the grandfather of alternative heating.  They perform without electricity, provide light through the glass door, and can last many years with minimal maintenance. All of the woodstoves thru Woodstove Warehouse have passed strict EPA emissions regulations.

Today's woodstoves burn so efficiently most customers find that ash removal is easy due to ash pan availability for most pedestal or leg models.  One might expect to remove ashes approximately every 14 days or so, depending upon the type of wood burned.  The glass door stays clean with proper operation and allows for uncompromised viewing of the dramatic flames.

Steel wood stoves are always more economical to buy—you will get more stove while spending less money.  Steel woodstoves respond quickly to their controls.  Cast iron stoves have a smoother heating cycle, they take longer to heat up and they retain their warmth longer.  If you want bang for the buck, a steel woodstove is it.
